The AM-TEC initiative provides a broad range of targeted economic development assistance to small, medium, and large manufacturers and suppliers of thermal and environmental control (TEC) equipment in Central New York. The initiative helps companies reduce costs and increase revenue through the creation and maintenance of a capable workforce and the development of new products through innovation, research, workforce, and business development services. The Advanced Manufacturing for Thermal and Environmental Controls, or AM-TEC, project is led by Syracuse Center of Excellence in Energy and Environmental Systems (SyracuseCoE) in close partnership with CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity (CenterState CEO), Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY), NYSTAR, Central New York Technology Development Organization (TDO), Onondaga Community College Small Business Development Center, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and Syracuse University. Additional support is provided by NYSERDA and Empire State Development.
