The Panhandle Area Development District (PADD) is a voluntary organization of member local governments and private interest group representation members who come together to jointly find ways to solve common local challenges and develop common opportunities within their communities. Primary activities and responsibilities of the district include providing planning, grant writing, and technical assistance to local governments and development organizations to assist them with their community and economic development efforts. In addition, PADD conducts planning and research at the regional level to identify areas where multi-community and multi-county groups can work together to reduce costs and enhance local efforts.
