The LAEDC Cleantech Cluster Project is one of the first efforts to examine the current and potential future state of clean technology in a local economy–with a specific focus on Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technologies. Geographically, the project focuses on Los Angeles County, home to nearly 10 million people, nearly four million wage and salary workers, and over 200,000 private and public establishments. The project aims to evaluate market potential for clean technology in Los Angeles County and to determine its potential as a center for clean technology product design, development, and production.
